Think of Others

The IMT Des Moines Marathon is a great opportunity to promote an organization, enhance team building, offer a group outing, provide a neighborhood activity or just to have fun. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Think of a family member, friend or group of people who can join you. Volunteering is always more fun when you are able to do it with people you already know. Silver Cord hours have been approved for acceptance.

Report for your volunteer shift on time and remain on task for the duration of your shift.

Before You Think of Yourself.

Before you sign up to volunteer for the IMT DMM you should have an idea of the type of activity you would like to help with. A full list of volunteer opportunities is available to view within our Volunteer Local page. Please don’t register for a volunteer shift if you aren’t sure that you will be able to be there. No-shows can really cause great difficulties from the planning to the execution stage of race weekend.

IMT Des Moines Marathon volunteers receive an official long-sleeve VOLUNTEER shirt from Leslie Jordan!
