Please help us recognize our charity partners by supporting their organizations and services whenever possible.
The IMT Des Moines Marathon provides community events encouraging active participation in maintaining healthy lifestyle choices. In addition, as an organization, we support various charitable programs that benefit our local community through cash, in-kind product, and race weekend engagement contributions. By participating as an athlete in the IMT Des Moines Marathon, you support many of these causes, and for that, we thank you.
As an athlete, you also have a direct opportunity to make your race experience even more meaningful by providing additional support through building campaign awareness or fundraising for a charity of your choice, through your training program, or by running or walking on race day on behalf of one of our charity partners. Either way, we welcome your efforts toward making the Des Moines community a better place to live, grow, and play.

Team CCC is a network of runners who raise money for Children’s Cancer Connection (CCC) to benefit families across Iowa affected by childhood cancer. Members earn special swag, prizes, and other perks for their fundraising. The more money you raise, the more incentives you’ll receive!
You can participate in any running event that you want, anywhere. CCC is the official charity partner of the IMT Des Moines Marathon, so many Team CCC members participate in that event’s various races. For 2023, the same great incentives apply as in previous years, including the reimbursement of your race registration fee for the IMT Des Moines Marathon (Marathon or Half Marathon only) and a Team CCC t-shirt when you hit $200 in funds raised for Children’s Cancer Connection. Iowa State Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropy on Iowa State’s campus. This organization raises money year-round for children with life-threatening illnesses at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital through Children’s Miracle Network. Iowa State Dance Marathon fundraised $700,000 for the hemodynamics program in the United States, which focuses on supporting neonatal infants’ hearts. Every year, students come together and stay on their feet for a 15-hour event to symbolize our support for the families who spend countless hours in hospital rooms. The miracle families we support join us in listening to music, dancing, and playing games all day. So far, Iowa State Dance Marathon has raised $5.3 million for the kids. Click here.
