Y Go the Distance is the official training program of the IMT Des Moines Marathon featuring the half marathon distance. Available to both YMCA members and non-members at participating branches in the Greater Des Moines area. Participating greater Des Moines YMCA branches offer their own run club, where members can focus on training for the half marathon with week-by-week training formats led by YMCA staff and volunteer mentor-led group runs. Each branch group meets at the Downtown YMCA on Saturday mornings for half marathon long-run routes and support. Programs scheduled to return in 2021. More info.
