The Mercy Live Up Loop 1-Mile Walk benefiting the Kiwanis Miracle League offers an all-inclusive run/walk for children and adults with a physical, cognitive, social or emotional disability.
The 1-Mile Walk paved trail course shares the same start and finish line as the Mercy Live Up Loop 5-Mile Run but allows participants to go at their own speed in this nontimed event on the Meredith Trail surrounding Principal Park. All ages and abilities are welcome. 1-Mile course map.
Individual participants should register through the Mercy Live Up Loop 1-Mile Walk event category. Assisted athletes who require a pusher or guide to participant in the 1-Mile Walk should register through the Assisted Athlete event category. This two person-team registration format allows both individuals to be registered for the event they are participating in.
All participants will receive a Mercy Live Up Loop stadium blanket, bib number and finisher medal.

The Mercy Live Up Loop 5-Mile Run and 1-Mile Walk start at 8:00 am followed by the Mercy Children’s Hospital & Clinics Junior Jog at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 14. Principal Park, 1 Line Drive, Des Moines, IA 50309.
Athlete packet pick-up takes place at the Scheels Sports & Fitness Expo on Friday, October 19 from 3 to 8 p.m. Learn more.
Adaptive activities designed to match the energy level and physical needs of all participants will also be offered by the Kiwanis Miracle League.
