Central Iowa ARES®  Home of the American Radio Relay League, the Central Iowa Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) returns to provide communication services for the IMT Des Moines Marathon on behalf of the National Association for Amateur Radio.
This volunteer network of radio operators will be stationed at key points along the race course that includes tracking lead runners, aid stations, first aid stations, tracking the tail runners/walkers and keeping the IMT Des Moines Race Committee in touch with one another throughout the day.

Des Moines University
The Des Moines University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is providing complimentary physical therapy services to facilitate recovery for athletes following the IMT Des Moines Marathon & Half Marathon. Third year Des Moines University Doctor of Physical Therapy students in conjunction with staff physical therapists from Des Moines University will be providing post race services including stretching, soft tissue mobilization and release, ice massage, posture and flexibility screening and stretching and strengthening advice
Personal Best Massage Massage speeds recovery time by flushing wastes from muscles and stretching to improve mobility. Strokes are designed to flush toxins and stretching is done to aid in recovery and flexibility. Licensed therapists experienced in soft tissue work will tailor their techniques to the runner's needs. Sign in after the race for a 10-minute massage on a "first come-first served" basis.
Free race day massages will be available at the finish line from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. sponsored by Personal Best Massage.
Work Systems Rehab Work Systems Rehab provides Sports Physical Therapy services with expertise in treating endurance athletes. Injury Screening, Functional Injury Prevention and Running Video Analysis utilizing Dartfish software are programs offered by Work Systems Rehab to help runners and walkers prevent and treat their injuries.
IMT Des Moines Marathon athletes receive a 15% discount off initial specialty program sessions. Clinics are located in Des Moines, Pella, Oskaloosa and Newton.
Work Systems Rehab offers their downtown Des Moines facility for team staging prior to the start of the Bankers Trust Marathon Relay.
