Sports & Fitness Expo
The Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield Sports & Fitness Expo is host to national and local exhibitors featuring the latest in attractions, sportswear, gear and more that appeals to anyone interested in actively participating in health & wellness.
You are required to pick up your athlete packet, which includes your bib/race number, IPICO timing device (Sportag™), souvenir guide, athlete packet, race shirt and important race day information at the Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield Sports & Fitness Expo.
You may register in person for any of the IMT Des Moines Marathon races on Friday, October 17 or Saturday, October 18 at the Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield Sports & Fitness Expo.
Registration and/or athlete packet pick up is not offered on race day.

Speaker Series
The Speaker Series offers seminars and entertainment over the course of race weekend. Information on training for various sports, fitness topics, motivational messages, IMT Des Moines Marathon course presentations and much more will be offered at the Speaker Series, which is free and open to the public.

Spirit of the Marathon
Meet Jon Dunham, director of Spirit of the Marathon, and watch the movie on Saturday, October 18. This special matinee showings will begin at 1 p.m. at the Varsity Theatre on the campus of Drake University.
You must purchase your $10 tickets in advance.
Spirit of the Marathon is the first ever nonfiction feature film to capture the drama and essence of the famed 26.2 mile running event. Filmed on four continents, the movie brings together a diverse cast of amateur athletes and marathon luminaries.
As six unique stories unfold, each runner prepares for and ultimately faces the challenge of the Chicago Marathon. More than a sports movie, Spirit of the Marathon is an inspirational journey of perseverance and personal triumph; a spectacle that will be embraced by runners and non-runners alike.
