Fun Runs
The IMT Des Moines Marathon Running Club, El Bait Shop, and Confluence Brewing are partnering together this year to offer a unique social and running experience in Des Moines. Join fellow runners and walkers of all skill levels the last Tuesday of each month for an evening of conversation pace running followed by food and Confluence Brewing beer specials on the El Bait Shop patio.
El Bait Shop Fun Run routes include a noncompetitive atmosphere along a 3-5 mile paved trail route that includes the Meredith Trail and Gray's Lake Park. Shorter distance routes are available. The Fun Run routes will depart each month from the El Bait Shop patio promptly at 6 p.m. Routes are designed to finish back at El Bait Shop.
Enjoy Confluence Brewing beer specials and your favorite El Bait Shop menu items, while getting to know others. It is a great way to get in an evening run, break up the rigors of the same old training schedule and socialize with friends with the opportunity to meet a few new ones.
The El Bait Shop Fun Run series supports the DMARC Food Pantry. Bring 3 non-perishable food items with you to donate to the Food Pantry and help us give back to the community!
