Race day registration and athlete packet pick up is not allowed.
Your race entry fee is non refundable for any reason.
You may not transfer your race entry fee or registration to another person or towards a future race.

The Prevention Early Start brought to you by Prevention Magazine starts promptly at 7:00 a.m. at Nollen Plaza. Only walkers registered for the marathon may participate in the Prevention Early Start.
The IMT Des Moines Marathon - Half Marathon does not offer an early start.
All race participants receive an official IMT Des Moines Marathon race specific shirt, athlete packet, rental of personal Sportag™ timing device and post race food, refreshments and festivities.
Finisher medals are presented in the IMT Des Moines Marathon and Half Marathon and the
Saturn 5-Person Relay Challenge race divisions.

Join the American Cancer Society Charity Runner Program and participate in the first Charity Runner Program in Iowa! Train and run with our partners at the the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program. Show your support by running or walking on race day with the Iowa Chapter of the APDA (American Parkinson's Disease Association).

Team Prevention
Prevention Magazine has named the IMT Des Moines Marathon as one of their most walker friendly races in 2008! Find out how you can become a part of the Team Prevention walking team at this year's race.
To register for Team Prevention, which will also take care of registering you for the IMT Des Moines Half Marathon, start by going to the Prevention website. Under "Walk a Half or Full Marathon with Team Prevention", click on "Find Out More" under the IMT Des Moines Marathon and then select which package you want. Once you've registered, you can go back to the Prevention website to create a custom training calendar and get all sorts of advice.
Walkers are just as welcome to participate in the IMT Des Moines Marathon and Half Marathon and Principal Financial Group 5K Road Race as those competing for course records, qualifying times and personal records.
Don't forget to specify your registration for the early bird start if you plan to register as a Marathon Walker and would like an additional hour to complete the Marathon course.
