Race Overviewbankers trust 2

The Bankers Trust Marathon Relay is designed to offer a team experience to what has historically been regarded as an individual endurance event.  This race is intended for running teams of all skill levels and speeds.

Each team in the Marathon Relay will consist of 5 members.  Teams can be any combination of male or female members, but must have at least 2 female members to be considered a co-ed team.  Teams must be able to provide documentation that all 5 members work for the same company to be considered a corporate team.

The Bankers Trust Marathon Relay follows the Marathon course.  The 1st team member will complete 4 miles of the course, the 2nd the next 6, the 3rd the next 5, the 4th the next 5, and the 5th team member will complete the final 6.2 miles of the 26.2 mile race.

The Bankers Trust Marathon Relay is not intended for walking teams.  We encourage you to participate in the 5K Road Race, Half Marathon or Marathon if you are interested in walking on race day.

Staging
Work Systems Rehab once again hosts the Bankers Trust Marathon Relay staging area at their downtown Des Moines clinic for the 6th year in a row.  Parking for each team's vehicle is available behind their building.  Individual team members should find offsite parking on their own.

Teams are offered a warm place to stretch, meet with their team, and learn about last minute relay details.  Bathroom access, water and Endurance Formula Gatorade will also be provided before the start of the race.  Team members may watch the start of the race and return in time to drive to the first transition area on the course.

The start line is one block from Work Systems Rehab.
