Awards
The IMT Des Moines Marathon is offering $30,000 in prize money on October 21, 2012.
Overall awards and cash prizes are offered to the top five male and female finishers in the IMT Des Moines Marathon & Half Marathon races. Master's awards and cash prizes are offered to the top three finishers in the IMT Des Moines Marathon & Half Marathon races. Overall awards are based on gun time. The first athlete to cross the finish line wins the race.
A $1,000 bonus is offered to the men's and women's winner of the Marathon Division if they also establish a new course record.
Age division awards are offered to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and over. Age division awards are based on Ipico Sportag™ or chip time.
The IMT Des Moines Marathon does not duplicate or ‘double dip’ cash or trophy awards, which means if you win an overall or cash prize you are not eligible for an age division award.

Overall and age division winners will be announced, but awards will not be presented in person. Awards will be personalized with the athlete's name and place within their respective age division. They will be mailed directly to the winning athletes after race results are official. Please allow 4 weeks following the race for personalization and mailing fulfillment.
Any disputes to official times or race results must be made within 48 hours of the finish of the race and should be directly submitted to the race director.
